This is the front porch/entry. Mind you this is obviously taken NOT during the month of February (current).
The LARGEST part of the home - living room. Cut out to the right and the door way to the ONE bathroom to the left (uh oh, two women, one bathroom...). ha ha
And this is what might have been the front entry that the added carpet to. I almost wish the wood floor was still there, but I LOVE the windows.
Now the story about the little 'scare': there are a row of 6 of these little bungalows, all built at the same time in the University area and if you come in the from the main street, there are NO lights and we went during an evening. We weren't sure if we were going to expect another disaster or what? But once Cynthia took us in to the home, even with all the boxes/mess of the tenant (packing to move) we immediately fell in love. It was nice to walk into a larger kitchen and the living room area felt comfortable. It felt like a HOME! Although the bedrooms are tiny (daughter is going to have to down size her bed) and no closet space... well, lets just say I am going to have to get VERY creative. Thankfully I have a rolling rack, but - where to put it?? It didn't take long to say, WE WANT IT!! Happily Cynthia called me after a day (got ahold of our current landlord & my employer) and said, "It's Yours!" Uh, oh - packing begins... thus my lack of blogging.
So I want any/all advice - decorating tips for small rooms and pictures. As I titled this: we will be going from Uptown Girls to Bungalow Babes. I want to take what I have and make it a little different, maybe a more retro style. Hopefully I can get rid of the ugly purple chairs to start with and get my baby blue ones and I want to create a tufted ottoman to replace the wood coffee table!! (hint hint - and of course a touch of pink rather than the red) - thoughts??
