Admittedly after watching The Single Ladies (VH1 - Queen Latifa show), I then turned to The Bachelor(ette) show. There was nothing else on and yes, like the deer in the headlights, I had to see where this stands (as they come to the end). LOL
Single Ladies - much more fun, power hungry black women with some sass & great style - gotta love my Southern Women!!
Bachelor(ette) - she's cute. Here's my take on where it went: she very obviously stated WHAT/WHO/TYPE of man she likes - thinner/semi muscular build, longish hair and yes (like most women) he has to show independence with strength... The one (Ames) that got eliminated, of course, he showed his weakness and didn't step up. She liked what he stands for and thought the mystery would eventually come out, but sadly NO, (men don't hold back so long - women get tired/bored) and (my feeling - he came across e feminine too). But he made the comment when they were on the picnic that SO stood out - something to the effect "enjoy the moments of everyday with each other - not just those made up romantic times" (LOVED THAT)!!
I'm struggling with my own and trying to pull my head out of my ass. Lol I do realize that I've lost my own power/strength and that's the reason I fell prey to some bad dates and bad choices. When I'm strong/independent, I attract the passive/weaker man, but once in awhile I'll find my 'match' but it's learning to HOLD onto that, that I seem to lose.
I want the kind of man like the bosses I enjoy supporting because I feed off their drive...
I also want to be THAT single Lady with the sass, the class and the power...
Thanks for letting me rant.
