1. FOCUS - work on the A.D.D. (attention deficit disorder) (lol).
2. NEW CAREER (job) - get back to doing something that allows me more creativity, maybe some freedom, still allows me to build on my skills: social, writing, assisting, etc. I've learned that the two things that bores me to tears is overly routine and being treated with disrespect!!
3. INCOME - with the career (job) will come either a step back (again) or hopefully some added income. I have no more savings and barely live paycheck to paycheck and have some serious financial issues that are still looming from the last few years. Goal, to feel 'comfortable' or at ease and to pay off the debt and pay back my mom.
4. WRITE/BLOG/SOCIAL NETWORK - this is my persona and who I KNOW I am. Writing a column or being a regular contributor to a national publication. Schedule an hour each morning to read through my favorite blogs and build relationships within that forum.
5. HEALTH/WEIGHT - get back in better/cleaner health/shape. Possibly get back to 100 lbs. or a much nicer toner 105. Stay active!
6. HOME - our lease expires at the end of February and I am awaiting the response from landlord if they will NOT increase my rent - otherwise we will have to move. But I would prefer to remain in Seattle. But with the current (unsecure) job (once again) - I worry about starting a new lease and also since I have NO money for deposits, will have to see how I can handle that. I love our current location and the feel is so me.
7. DAUGHTER - #6 leads me into #7. She is still unemployed, 20 and has no potential of where to work and what to do. So I can not also have her help me financially. Since her father has now moved back to Texas, I also am still fully responsible for her financially - which I have been for the last 3.5 years (since my separation/divorce). Goal is to definitely get her on track... job/beauty school/growing up!
8. ME TIME: Carve out one night per week that is mine alone with no intrusions from the outside world. This includes doing things SOLO - plays/movies/musicals and of course taking more photos!
9. RELATIONSHIPS: this isn't about just men, this includes building better friendships, time with my family and renewal with some from my past. This definitely includes building that relationship with myself - finding out who I really am, what I want to present to the world and IF/when a man comes along; don't fall back into the routine of being an 'assistant'.
10. TRAVEL: continue to explore my surroundings, find ways to take more time 'off' or away, even if its just a day trip to renew my head and heart. I loved the times when I would even allow myself a quick road trip, pulling off to the side and enjoying that blissful moment of tranquility and seeing something new.11. PERSONA: look into my heritage - I've always enjoyed the persona of my ethnic background: spanish/irish/american indian. It's not just my ethnicity, but who I am and how it affects what I have become. I've inherited a strong will (MOM) and a eclectic/ADD (DAD) personality that needs to really be released! In a good way. (huge smile here).
This is just a beginning and goal/accomplishments I want to work on in 2011.

It's a NEW year and you certainly are on the right track to a NEW life..CONGRATULATIONS! The word 'new,' not to take it as unfamiliar or strange, but to use it as fresh and appearing for the first time!
So, go out there, Laura, and show the world what you've got! Throw out that evil rag we call "low self-esteem" and wrap your NEW self in that fabulous wrap called "positive action!" Why? Because you look fabulous in it...dah'ling! ;) ~Lidia
Wow, I really enjoyed your crystal candor and thoroughness here. I TOTALLY wish you achieve the items on this list! :) ~C.
