Found My Bliss

Who knew that if you allow someone else to 'take the lead' and 'plan it all out' that you can truly enjoy yourself!  That's what happened for me this weekend.

Although the day was a bit grey and dreary, amazingly enough as we turned the corner toward the resort, the clouds literally lifted and this amazing blue sky shown over the lake.  Being in a comfortable ride, enjoying nice conversation and some quality quiet time - it began better than I had expected.
Here's the fascinating part, someone told me "don't have expectations, because then there's the potential for disappointment"... how true was that.

Once we arrived, this special person truly taught me also how to enjoy my senses and luckily know what it means to be tactile!  Between that comfortable drive, the peace I immediately felt, truly looking at someone, smiling as I looked out the window at our arrived destination, I knew this weekend was going to be well worth the time.
The cottage wasn't over the top - it was quite simply a cottage.  Cute, quaint, with a little kitchen and one simple bathroom.  But the location toward the lake and being able to have a fireplace was fantastic.  Again, sensory - FEEL (emotional and setting).
Besides the lake, you have to have a brook or some sort of running water.  As you can tell, my senses were focused on the atmosphere and trying to capture them with my camera.  Which was quite an amusement to others as well.  (darn tourist).  HA
Every color and sound just seemed to be renewed for me.
And at this moment, I truly realized that someone else can take the lead; make me feel tremendously special, calm my nerves, evoke all of my 'dormant' senses, including read to me (this was truly peaceful and wonderful), wine/cheese/fire and just the time to be quiet - my comment the next morning was: "It's STILL Saturday"...
But Sunday still left me BLISSFUL (what a great word) and truly HAPPY!!
This was by far one of the best, special weekends I have ever been given and will always leave me smiling.
